We Are Looking for a Creative, Passionate Designer 

DJR is a collection of energetic, idea-driven people who work to collaborate, solve problems, and have fun. We are looking for a curious, creative, and passionate interior design superstar to engage with our teams and clients to create meaningful environments. Our office is based in Minneapolis, MN and will support both in-office and remote work.

We are looking for an interior designer who has strong project management skills, leadership ability and an interest in client interaction. Our expectations for you:  

• The ability to work with firm principals and team members to ensure client program requests and design standards are successfully incorporated into projects 

• Being able to produce and manage project deliverables throughout all design phases 

• A dedicated team collaborator who can successfully hit milestones and deadlines 

• Work closely with team members to produce and manage design, permit, construction documents, and presentation materials - must be able to produce project manuals and specifications 

• A strong desire to develop and manage material palettes, interior details, and design solutions 

• Utilizes a thoughtful selection of project appropriate FF&E solutions, management of FF&E details, and coordination with furniture vendors and clients to complete furniture packages 

• Willingness to research materials and trends to advise and support the design team 

• Meet with and coordinate with material representatives, vendors, and consultants 

At a minimum you have: 

• Bachelor’s degree from CIDA accredited interior design program 

• 6 years minimum professional experience in commercial design 

• Proficiency in Revit and Enscape 

• Knowledge of MN building codes 

Specialty Skills:  

• We are looking for a strong communicator - both verbally and in written form - to communicate with clients, consultants, firm principals, and design team members  

• An excellent time manager who knows how to set priorities of project deliverables  

• Quick learner with ability to easily navigate priority changes and deadlines 

• Strong organizational skills with ability to pay attention to details 

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively, taking ownership of assigned projects and tasks 

• Resourceful problem solver who can present solutions when faced with challenges 

• Have a positive attitude and act with integrity and professionalism 

Preferred Qualifications: 

• NCIDQ Certificate holder or MN Certified Interior Designer 

• Project management experience overseeing interior projects 

• Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, and rendering software programs
