Chip’s Pickleball Club

You may ask, “Who is Chip?” Chip just might be you! The Chip’s brand values community, authenticity, and being active. Using these ideas, Chip’s was founded to fulfill the deep-rooted need for face-to-face human connection, especially in our modern days where social media has taken over. Chip’s is the place to connect with friends, neighbors, and strangers and is a place for fun and togetherness.

Chip’s is not your average pickleball gym. The design concept behind Chip’s pulls together vintage emblems, funky colors and playful graphics that evoke a nostalgic and vibrant experience for all. The thread that ties the space together is the cheeky signage and wayfinding. You’ll find support emotionally and physically whether you’re getting coffee from the café, need to take a pitstop in the restrooms, or need words of encouragement to get through your last set in the fitness area. The Chip’s accent orange will also catch your eye and direct you where you need to go.

The pickleball club has moved into an existing warehouse off Yankee Doodle Road in Eagan. The exterior is painted in bold green to catch the attention of those passing by. Upon entering the club, members are greeted with a spacious lobby featuring a large custom reception desk framed by lush plantings, and a bold sign greeting you to Chip’s. The large-scale feature sign is created using 500 pickleballs, laid out to display the Chip’s logo. The space is further filled with lounge seating and custom retail shelving.

Chip’s hosts twelve pickleball courts spread across the warehouse, and includes a fitness center, and stretching areas. Each court has bold green drink rail/court-side benches for a place to stop and put your shoes on, store your bags, and socialize with your friends and neighbors alike. Accent orange floor wayfinding signs help you navigate your way to your court and through the club.

Other features of the club include the café, the wellness center, and a private event space. The café serves as a central meeting point and provides offerings day to night. The core of the club hosts the wellness center, complete with a cold plunge tub for up to four people, sauna, rain showers, wellness bar, and private changing rooms. Beyond the primary pickleball courts, the private event space occupies the far back zone of the club. The exterior of the event room is painted the signature bold green, with two garage doors that open to allow seamless flow between the entertainment space and the two private courts adjacent. The event space features a unique vintage inspired kitchenette and custom family-style dinner table flanked by lounge areas on either side.
