Barna, Guzy & Steffen (BGS) Law Office Renovation

The Barna, Guzy & Steffen law firm strives to be down to earth, approachable, and reliable. For the renovation of their office, they wanted the space to feel sophisticated, fresh and modern. The concept for the renovation is fresh tradition. The design consists of character and classic color in key spaces of client and partner interaction to add integrity and new life into the space. Navy and slate blues, and menswear-inspired textiles bring a classic palette, while diagonal wood flooring and chunky wood trim add a fresh take on these traditional elements. Emphasis on new furniture, a bright and friendly new lobby, and focus on employee happiness and growth highlight key spaces for the company.⁠

The office underwent a complete renovation including new flooring, paint, and lighting throughout. New offices were created by reconfiguring the existing layout, with new interior windows added throughout to bring light to the inner core of the office. The project featured a large redesign of the lobby, relocation of the breakroom areas for staff, updated bathrooms and the addition of a wellness room and unisex bathroom off the lobby for clients. A focus on the separation of public and private spaces in the law firm were a key consideration in the updates.
